Eco Club Initiative: Mission LiFE Week – Day 4: Save Energy

As part of Mission LiFE Week 2026, the Eco Club of Convent of Jesus and Mary School observed Day 4 – Save Energy on Saturday, 4th July 2026. The programme aimed to create awareness among students about the importance of conserving energy through simple, responsible daily actions.
Students were encouraged to switch off lights, fans, and electrical appliances when not in use, make maximum use of natural light and ventilation, and unplug chargers after use to prevent unnecessary energy consumption. They also shared energy-saving practices followed in their homes, inspiring one another to become more environmentally conscious.
An Energy Saver Pledge was administered, motivating students to commit themselves to using energy wisely and protecting the environment. The day’s message, “Save Energy, Save Earth!”, reminded everyone that every small effort contributes to a greener and more sustainable future.
The activities reinforced the values of responsibility, conservation, and environmental stewardship, encouraging students to become active participants in building a sustainable world.

The Eco Club of Convent of Jesus and Mary School continued the celebration of Mission LiFE Week 2026 with Day 3 – Healthy Habits on Friday, 3rd July 2026. The day’s programme encouraged students to adopt healthy habits that contribute to their well-being and support a sustainable future.

Students brought nutritious homemade tiffins, carried reusable water bottles, and consciously avoided junk food and packaged snacks. A refreshing 10-minute yoga session was conducted in the school hall, promoting physical fitness, mental well-being, and mindfulness.

During classroom interactions, students enthusiastically shared healthy habits they practise every day, inspiring one another to make positive lifestyle choices. The thought for the day, “Healthy habits today lead to a healthier tomorrow,” reminded everyone that simple daily actions can have a lasting impact on both personal health and the environment.

The activities successfully reinforced the importance of leading a healthy, responsible, and eco-friendly lifestyle in keeping with the vision of Mission LiFE.

As part of Mission LiFE Week 2026, the Eco Club of Convent of Jesus and Mary School observed Day 2 – Save Water on Wednesday, 1st July 2026 with great enthusiasm. The day’s activities focused on creating awareness about the importance of conserving water and using it responsibly.
Students participated wholeheartedly by carrying their own water bottles, ensuring that no water was wasted, and practising the responsible use of water while washing their hands. They also shared practical water-saving tips during classroom discussions, encouraging one another to adopt simple yet effective conservation habits.
To express their creativity and commitment to the cause, students prepared colourful posters and meaningful slogans on the theme “Save Water, Save Life.” They were also encouraged to practise water conservation at home and inspire their family members to protect this precious natural resource.
The programme reinforced the message that every drop of water is valuable and that collective efforts can make a significant difference in building a sustainable future.

Students actively participated by bringing nutritious homemade tiffins, carrying reusable water bottles, maintaining personal hygiene, and following the day’s discipline guidelines. The school campus reflected the spirit of the theme, “Healthy Me, Healthy Earth – Every Healthy Choice Matters!”, as students understood the close connection between personal well-being and a sustainable environment.

The programme inspired students to make mindful lifestyle choices and reinforced the message that small individual actions can contribute significantly towards a healthier society and a greener planet. The Eco Club looks forward to continuing Mission LiFE Week with many more engaging activities that nurture responsible and environmentally conscious citizens.

English Monoact Competition

An English Monoact Competition was successfully conducted on 13th July 2026 at 8.00 a.m. in the School Hall. The competition provided students with an excellent platform to showcase their acting skills, creativity, confidence, and command over the English language.
The programme began with a warm welcome to the judges, Principal, teachers, and students. Participants from different classes presented impressive monoacts on a variety of themes, conveying meaningful messages through their expressions, voice modulation, dialogue delivery, and stage presence. Each performance reflected the students’ hard work, talent, and dedication.
The judges appreciated the participants for their creativity and confidence while also encouraging them to continue developing their communication and performance skills. The competition was conducted smoothly with the support of the English Department teachers and the cooperation of the staff.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the Principal, the judges, the English Department teachers, the support staff, and all the students whose enthusiastic participation made the competition a grand success.

Investiture Ceremony 2026–2027

The Investiture Ceremony of CJM School, Kharghar, was held on 30th June 2026 at 8.00 a.m. in the school hall. The ceremony marked the formal installation of the newly elected Student Council for the academic year 2026–2027 and served as an occasion to inspire young leaders to uphold the values of responsibility, discipline, and service.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome extended to the Manager of the School, Sr. Diana Colaso, Director of the SSC Section, Sr. Sheron, Sr. Tara, and the parents who had gathered to witness this significant occasion.
A short prayer service was conducted, invoking God’s abundant blessings upon the school community and seeking His guidance and wisdom for the newly appointed council members as they undertook their leadership responsibilities.
The newly elected Junior and Senior Student Council members then marched onto the stage with pride and dignity. They were formally invested with badges and sashes, symbolising the trust and responsibility placed upon them. The council members solemnly took the oath of office, pledging to carry out their duties with sincerity, integrity, dedication, and commitment to the school.
The ceremony concluded with words of congratulations and encouragement to the newly invested leaders. Ms. Minaxi proposed the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the management, sisters, parents, teachers, and everyone who contributed to the success of the programme.
The ceremony came to a fitting close with the singing of the school anthem, filling the hall with a spirit of unity, pride, and commitment to the ideals of CJM School, Kharghar.

VARMALA & BARAKHADI ACTIVITY

The competition aimed to encourage students to develop their creative writing skills, enhance their command over the English language, and express their thoughts effectively.

Students participated enthusiastically and showcased their talent through well-structured and imaginative essays on a variety of topics. The competition provided a platform for young writers to demonstrate their creativity, critical thinking, and language proficiency.

The essays were evaluated based on content, originality, organization of ideas, grammar, vocabulary, and overall presentation. The participants displayed remarkable enthusiasm and dedication, making the event a great success.
