A solemn and meaningful Teachers’ Day Mass was celebrated on 4th September 2026 at 9:00 a.m. bringing together the school community in prayer, gratitude and thanksgiving. The celebration was presided over by Rev. Fr. John Berkman and was centred on the inspiring theme, “Igniting the Light of Wisdom and Hope.”

The occasion was made especially significant as it also commemorated the Feast of Blessed Dina Bélanger, whose life of deep faith, prayer, humility and selfless dedication continues to inspire us. Her unwavering love for Christ and spirit of service offer a beautiful example of how one can become a source of light and hope to others.

The theme beautifully reflected the noble vocation of teachers. Teachers are not merely imparters of knowledge; they are guides, mentors, and role models who illuminate young minds and hearts.

The celebration invited the teachers to reflect on the deeper meaning of their vocation. Like a lamp that dispels darkness, a teacher brings clarity where there is confusion and hope where there is uncertainty. The life of Blessed Dina Bélanger reminded everyone that true wisdom is enriched by faith, humility, love and a spirit of self-giving.

The Teachers’ Day Mass was therefore a beautiful celebration of faith, vocation, and gratitude. Inspired by the example of Blessed Dina Bélanger and guided by the theme “Igniting the Light of Wisdom and Hope,” the teachers were encouraged to continue being beacons of wisdom, compassion and hope for their students and for the wider community.

Through thoughtful discussions, engaging presentations, and colourful expressions, the students spoke about different cultures, traditions, customs, festivals, languages, attire, music, and food from various parts of the country and the world.

Each presentation added a new shade to the colourful mosaic of human culture, reminding us that although our traditions may differ, the values of love, kindness, unity, and harmony connect us all.

The activity brought together creativity, joy, and the beautiful spirit of sibling love. Our students enthusiastically crafted colourful and beautiful Rakhis, adding their own unique touch to this cherished tradition.

Through this creative activity, the children experienced the joy of making something with their own hands while appreciating the values of love, care, togetherness, and the precious bond of relationships.

It was a delightful celebration filled with creativity, laughter, and the festive spirit of Raksha Bandhan.

The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with great zeal at Convent of Jesus and Mary School, Kharghar. This year’s theme “Building a Better India Begins With Me” reminded every student that nation-building starts with small actions in our daily lives.

The celebration began with the Flag Hoisting by our Chief Guests board toppers Ms.RIDDHI SINHA (ICSE) and Mst.Dion D’SOUZA (SSC), followed by the National Anthem. The tricolor flying high set the tone for a morning filled with pride and patriotism.

We then had a soulful Prayer Service where students prayed for peace, unity, and progress of our nation. The prayers were a reminder that a strong nation is built on values and faith.

The highlight of the program was the Skit “BUILDING A BETTER INDIA BEGINS WITH ME”. Through this performance, students showed how honesty, discipline, cleanliness, and respect can contribute to building a better India — starting from home, school, and society.

Our school toppers of 2025-26 were felicitated by Ms. Sheeba and the Topper’s Speech inspired everyone to work hard for both personal and national growth.
This was followed by dance, and a student speech on the theme, emphasizing that big change starts with individual responsibility.

The program concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Ms. Lorina. We expressed gratitude to our Chief Guest, Principal, teachers, parents, and all staff for their support in making the celebration meaningful and memorable.

The event ended with the national song leaving everyone with the message:
“Building a Better India Begins With Me.”

The activity was a joyful and meaningful experience, showcasing the students’ creativity and artistic.

The officers interacted with the students and created awareness about the importance of following traffic rules and maintaining safety while using the roads. They explained various traffic rules, road signs and signals, safe road-crossing practices, and responsible behaviour on the road.

The students were also made aware of the importance of being alert and cautious while travelling and the role each individual can play in preventing road accidents. The interactive session provided students with practical knowledge and encouraged them to become disciplined and responsible road users.

The school extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Traffic Police Department and the resource officers for conducting this valuable and informative session. We also appreciate the efforts of the Educational Committee, teachers and support staff in making the necessary arrangements for the programme.

The session concluded with a message encouraging students to follow traffic rules, prioritise road safety and become responsible citizens. Overall, the session was informative, interactive and highly beneficial for the students.

The assembly began with a *Prayer Service*. We offered prayers and seeking blessings for the health, happiness, and well-being of our parents. We prayed for them, just as they pray for us every day.

This was followed by a heartwarming *Skit* Through this short performance, students highlighted how parents are our constant support system — guiding us in studies, in life, and in tough times. The skit reminded everyone that a parent’s love is the strongest connection we have.

To make the occasion more memorable, we presented a *Video Tribute*. The video featured student messages, childhood memories, and moments of parents supporting their children. It was our small way of saying “Thank You” for all that you do for us silently, every single day.

As we step into Std 9, we understand the value of guidance and encouragement. Even when we face challenges, our parents’ faith in us keeps us moving forward.

We concluded the assembly with a  Vote of Thanks by Ms.Minaxi our SSC Supervisor. We expressed our sincere gratitude to our Principal for her guidance, to our teachers for helping us prepare this assembly and to everyone who made this assembly possible.
