Convent of Jesus and Mary High School and Convent of Jesus and Mary International school together celebrated Independence Day on 15th August with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The theme for the day was ‘Nation First, Always First’.
The school premises was nicely decorated with flags to commemorate the day. In the presence of a joyful gathering, the national flag was hoisted by the chief guest Commando Harbans Singh Dillon followed by the cultural programme. A meaningful prayer service was conducted that was followed by a series of performances by the students of the ICSE section. They portrayed their love for their motherland and patriotism through their dancing, acting as well as singing.
The students were also reminded about the sacrifices of the freedom fighters of our country. The programme ended with a speech of ICSE Principal Sr. Sheron Pereira and the chief guest stating the importance of the great day.
