Republic Day is our National festival celebrated with much fervour to ignite the minds with true feelings of patriotism.
The Convent of Jesus and Mary High School celebrated India’s 76th Republic day with great gaiety. The theme for the Republic Day celebration was ‘The Constitution – Babasaheb Ambedkar’s Gift to India’. The celebration began with the unfurling of the National flag by our Chief Guest, Mr.Awhad followed by the National Anthem .
The Program proceeded with a meaningful prayer service for our country and its citizens. The celebration was made lively and enthusiastic with patriotic speeches and dance which kindled patriotic fervor in all those present.
The Chief guest.Mr.Awhad conveyed a beautiful message on being sensitive to the needs of our fellow beings, informed students about cyber fraud and online crime and also motivated the students to step forward and lead a disciplined life. The program highlighted the values given in the preamble and emphasized the need to be accountable as future citizens of the country.
The celebration ended with the vote of thanks.The Republic Day celebration reminded us that we should be proud of our Country and the Constitution as it is one of the best constitutions in the World. Everyone dispersed, with a reverence to our country and to do our part in whatever little way we can.
