As the nation celebrates the 150th birth anniversary of the Father of our Nation Mahatma Gandhi, the students of class 9th A conducted a special assembly to remember Gandhi’s philosophies, teachings and efforts that contributed to India’s Independence. The assembly began with a peaceful meditation reflecting Gandhi’s devotion to spirituality and meditation. It was followed by the prayer service which enlightened us about his morals. A small act was performed to pay a tribute to the invaluable contribution by Mahatma Gandhi to India’s freedom struggle. This Was followed by a meaningful video about his unwavering commitment to freedom and justice.
Lal Bahadur Jayanti is also celebrated on this day to mark his contribution to India’s development. The programme ended with the inspirational words by our Supervisor Ms Lorina. The students were inspired and motivated knowing about the lives of two great leaders of our country who followed the path of Non-Violence and Truth and directed us to live a life of sacrifice.
