An Outreach Programme – A visit to Florin House
Kharghar, December 18
A visit to the orphan kids at Florin House located in Taloja was arranged by the
school. During the season of Advent to nurture kindness and sharing among the
students. Supervisor Ms. Lorina Fernandes, few staff and student from classes V
to X visited the Florin House. The students generously contributed various food
items like biscuits, rice, Soaps, wheat flour, Sugar etc for the outreach. The
students were enthusiastically welcomed by the kids at the Florin House and the
same food items were donated by CJM students to them.
The students from CJM in full Christmas spirit wearing Santa caps sang
Christmas carols much to the delight of the kids from Florin. The kids from
Florin introduced themselves one-by-one and then showcased their talents by
regaling everyone by singing Christmas carols, enacting an action song and
dancing on a peppy Bollywood song. The icing on the cake was when they
enacted the birth of Jesus which was like visualizing the Gospel in front of our
very own eyes.
The students and teachers thanked the kids at Florin House for showcasing their
talents. The CJM students shared their happiness and gifts with the kids at
Florin house and wished them a very Happy Christmas.
