SPORTS DAY – 2022-23

Sports Day

The 21st Annual Sports Meet of our school was conducted with great enthusiasm and fervor on Saturday, 10th December 2022. The Chief Guest for the day was Mr. Dilip Rayannver, the Tehasildar of Raigad district. Mr. Kiran D’souza, the P.T.A Vice president, was the guest of honor.

The meet began with the hoisting of the School flag, followed by the Torch March and the March Past by the four houses. Each house paraded with the message of Advent, i.e . Hope, Peace, Joy, Love. Advent season, the waiting for the birth of Lord Jesus was presented with a graceful performance and the joyful entry of Santa Claus created an atmosphere of mirth among the children. 

Various colourful and mesmerizing drills were performed by the students from classes IV to VIII. Lezim a folk dance form of Maharashtra, a vigorous physical exercise and drill was performed meaningfully and gracefully by the students from Std IX to XII. The finals of the 100 m running race, Hurdle race,  Relay race and Tug of War Competition were held and the winners were awarded medals and certificates. The students took part in the races with great enthusiasm. Fun filled races were also organized for the parents, helpers and teachers.

 

The Chief Guest Mr. Dilip Rayannver and our Principal Sr. Victoria Sansare gave away the ever rolling trophies to the individual champions and the victorious houses. In his speech the Chief Guest motivated the students  to participate in all the events and activities organised by the school. These school events build confidence in students which remains throughout the life of an individual which in turn helps in building of a strong nation. He commended the students and staff for the excellent program. The head girl Ms Poorva Gholap proposed the vote of thanks. Our Principal Sr Victoria Sansare thanked our Sports teacher Mr Santosh Pawar and the entire staff for training children and guiding them for this special day . The non teaching staff were highly commended for their tremendous effort . She also appreciated the students for all their hardwork and absolute high spirit irrespective of the weather to make this day a successful one. The wonderful and memorable event which lasted for about four hours, ended with the National Anthem Jana -Gana – Mana.
