Rooted in Love, Growing in Harmony
A special Eucharistic celebration was held on 1st October 2026 with great joy and gratitude,
celebrating our RJM heritage and Foundation Day, while also commemorating the Feast of St.
Teresa of the Child Jesus.
The Holy Mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Gerard De Souza who led the congregation in prayer
and thanksgiving. The celebration brought together the school community in a spirit of faith,
unity and gratitude.
The theme, “Rooted in Love, Growing in Harmony: Celebrating Our RJM Heritage and Care for
Creation,” beautifully reflected the spirit and mission of the Religious of Jesus and Mary. It
reminded us of the importance of remaining rooted in God’s love while growing together in
harmony, compassion and service.
The Mass also reflected on the inspiring life of St. Teresa of the Child Jesus, whose “little way”
of simplicity, humility, love and trust in God teaches us that even the smallest acts of kindness,
when done with love, can make a meaningful difference.
We gratefully remembered St. Claudine Thévenet, whose faith, courage and selfless service
continue to inspire the RJM family. Her vision of knowing and making known the goodness and
love of Jesus and Mary remains at the heart of our mission.
Through the Scripture readings, prayers, hymns and reflections, the celebration encouraged
everyone to live with greater love, forgiveness, unity and care for creation.
The Eucharistic celebration concluded with a renewed commitment to carry forward the values
of faith, love, simplicity, service and harmony, following the examples of St. Claudine Thévenet
and St. Teresa of the Child Jesus.
It was a beautiful celebration of faith, heritage and gratitude, reminding us that when we are
rooted in love, we can truly grow together in harmony.
