The Birth Anniversary of APJ Abdul Kalam is celebrated as the World Students Day on 15th October. To commemorate this day ‘Convent of Jesus and Mary high school, Kharghar’ celebrated reading day on 16th October 2023.
Reading has tremendous power to fuel the development of all aspects of language ability. It develops our thinking capacity and also moulds our personality. Students were asked to bring books to read so that they understand the importance of reading and are encouraged to develop it as a hobby. Supervisor Ms. Lorina Fernandes took a session and explained to the students about the significance of the day. Students enthusiastically participated in reading and were inspired to develop reading habits. Supervisor Ms. Lorina Fernandes encouraged and also urged to cultivate the habit of reading so as to derive maximum benefit from it. It was indeed an enriching and fun-filled day for the students which ended with great satisfaction and success.
