Theme: “Building a Better India Begins With Me”

The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with great zeal at Convent of Jesus and Mary School, Kharghar. This year’s theme “Building a Better India Begins With Me” reminded every student that nation-building starts with small actions in our daily lives.
The celebration began with the Flag Hoisting by our Chief Guests board toppers Ms.RIDDHI SINHA (ICSE) and Mst.Dion D’SOUZA (SSC), followed by the National Anthem. The tricolor flying high set the tone for a morning filled with pride and patriotism.
We then had a soulful Prayer Service where students prayed for peace, unity, and progress of our nation. The prayers were a reminder that a strong nation is built on values and faith.
The highlight of the program was the Skit “BUILDING A BETTER INDIA BEGINS WITH ME”. Through this performance, students showed how honesty, discipline, cleanliness, and respect can contribute to building a better India — starting from home, school, and society.
Our school toppers of 2025-26 were felicitated by Ms. Sheeba and the Topper’s Speech inspired everyone to work hard for both personal and national growth.
This was followed by dance, and a student speech on the theme, emphasizing that big change starts with individual responsibility.
The program concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Ms. Lorina. We expressed gratitude to our Chief Guest, Principal, teachers, parents, and all staff for their support in making the celebration meaningful and memorable.
The event ended with the national song leaving everyone with the message:
“Building a Better India Begins With Me.”
